100lbs Down, A Journey for Christian Women with Nicole Young: Christian Health Coaching, Women’s health coaching, Mindset change, Weight loss over 40, Emotional Eating, Christian life coaching
Let’s be honest: You already know what to eat. That isn’t the problem.
If knowing how to lose weight was the answer, you’d be done by now. Instead, you’re exhausted by the whole song and dance. "I’ll start Monday" turns into eating chips over the sink by Wednesday, and somehow you’re right back where you started—feeling stuck, heavy, and frustrated.
I’m Nicole. I’m not here to give you another meal plan. I’m here to have the real conversation about why we’re actually hiding, numbing out, and shrinking back from the life God gave us.
Pull up a chair. On this channel, we’re having a coffee-date honest look at:
- Why we really numb out (food, doom scrolling, busyness)
- The "too much" vs. "not enough" battle in our heads
- Actually finding your identity in Christ instead of just quoting verses about it
- Breaking the cycle of emotional eating so you can finally be free
I’m the friend who isn’t afraid to call you on your crap because I know what you’re capable of. It’s time to stop hiding.
Subscribe if you’re ready to stop starting over.
Grab your coffee (heavy on the creamer 😉) and let’s go.

The hardest part of change isn’t starting. It’s the moment right after you decide — when your thoughts start negotiating.
That’s where I used to quit every time.
In this episode, I’m talking about the phrase “change is now” and how it helped me stop letting my brain talk me out of the very things I said I wanted.
Just a real conversation about the moment that keeps us stuck — and how to stop handing it the steering wheel.

I spent years stuck in the cycle of "starting over on Monday," only to find myself eating chips over the sink by Wednesday. I knew what to eat to lose weight, but I couldn't find the consistency to actually do it. I thought I had a willpower problem. It turns out, I had an identity problem.
In this video, I’m sharing the one thing that finally moved the needle for my weight loss journey. It wasn't a new diet plan or a workout routine. It was realizing that I can hear from God, and letting Him define my identity and purpose. This spiritual shift is what finally cured my desire to use food as a coping mechanism and helped me break free from emotional eating for good.
If you are a Christian woman over 40 who is tired of the diet treadmill and wants to approach weight loss from a place of faith and freedom, this is for you.
In this episode, I cover:
Why "knowing what to eat" isn't enough to stop emotional eating
The connection between your spiritual identity and your physical health
How hearing God's voice changed my relationship with food

I spent years thinking I was the problem.
That if I could just be “normal” around food — just have a little, just get back on track — things would finally click.
They didn’t.
In this episode, I talk about the realization that changed everything for me: some women do great with flexibility, and some of us do better with clear lines. And when you don’t know which one you are, you’ll keep blaming yourself for something that isn’t actually a flaw.
We also talk about the comments. The pressure. The well-meaning people who don’t understand why “just a bite” turns into a spiral.
If you’ve ever felt steady… until someone else got in your head — this one’s for you.
This conversation is especially for women over 40 who are tired of starting over, tired of doubting themselves, and ready for a way of doing this that actually sticks.

If you’ve ever looked at your life and thought, “Why am I like this?” — this episode is for you.
Lately, I’ve been wrestling with something God’s been pressing on my heart: I didn’t quit… I settled, and it's time to chase excellence.
I chose comfort and called it peace, rest, "waiting" on God. I avoided discomfort, lowered my standards, and without realizing it, started opting out of my own life.
In this episode, I share my personal story of how “good enough” slowly became my default — and why that quiet settling kept me stuck, disconnected, and frustrated with myself.
We talk about:
How comfort can look like peace but lead to stagnation
Why avoiding discomfort slowly numbs your calling
The difference between excellence and perfection
Why awareness alone doesn’t change anything
It’s about waking up and choosing to show up — consistently and on purpose.

I almost talked myself out of recording this episode.
Not because I didn’t have something to say—but because I started overthinking how it should be done. And honestly? That’s exactly what this episode is about.
In this episode, I’m sharing why I changed the name of my podcast and channel to 100lbs Down, what this weight-loss journey represents for me, and why this time isn’t about quick fixes, perfect plans, or doing it the “right” way.
This is about following through.About cutting the nonsense.About showing up even when you don’t feel ready.
If you’ve ever felt stuck in the start-over cycle, overwhelmed by information, or frustrated that you know what to do but don’t do it consistently—this conversation will hit home.
This isn’t a how-to.It’s a line in the sand.

The world can’t stop talking about Charlie Kirk’s assassination—but what about Erika Kirk’s response? At her husband’s funeral, Erika stood with boldness and forgiveness that left millions asking: How could she forgive the man who took her husband’s life?
In this episode, I share why Erika’s faith is not unattainable, but the same kind of strength available to every believer. As a widow myself, I know the peace that only comes from Jesus when tragedy strikes.
We’ll dig into:
Erika Kirk’s forgiveness and faith after Charlie’s death
What true biblical grief looks like compared to the world’s despair
How faith in Jesus provides peace, hope, and strength through loss
Why forgiveness is central to the Christian walk
The calling for Christian women, wives, and widows to rise up in their God-given purpose
If you’ve ever wondered how to walk out faith when life falls apart, or how to find peace and hope in grief, this message is for you.

Do you ever feel restless, chaotic, and unsure — even when you’re doing everything ‘right’? You’re reading the books, following the advice, trying the proven systems, and still wondering why obedience to God feels so hard.
In this episode, we get real about why Christian women struggle with obedience, second-guessing, and inner chaos. The truth is: you’re not broken, and you’re not failing — but you may be letting other voices grow louder than God’s. Even well-meaning people, pastors, or mentors can’t replace His direction.
If you’ve ever thought, ‘I can’t tell if this is God or just me,’ or ‘Why do I feel so unsettled when my life looks fine on the outside?’ this conversation is for you. We’ll uncover why advice can’t give you peace, how to recognize when obedience feels heavy, and what it really means to let God’s voice be the loudest.
You don’t need another checklist or quick fix. You need clarity, peace, and confidence that comes from hearing God above the noise. Let’s talk about how to get there.

Have you ever poured time, money, and energy into self-help—only to end up more exhausted, more confused, and further from peace?
That’s exactly where I found myself… until God stopped me in my tracks. In this episode, I’m sharing the aha moment He gave me this morning that exposed how self-help has actually been stealing from me: my peace, my joy, and even my empathy for others.
If you’ve been feeling burned out, overwhelmed, or stuck in the cycle of striving—this conversation is for you. We’ll talk about:
Why self-help often leaves us jaded and empty instead of whole
The difference between striving to “fix” yourself vs. surrendering to God
How I lost my “Pollyanna era” of peace and gratitude—and what I’m doing to get it back
The false promise of control vs. the rest that comes from Jesus
Practical Scripture reminders to anchor you when life feels chaotic
Friend, if you’ve been chasing formulas, quick fixes, or hustle culture and still wondering why you feel stuck—this episode is your invitation to let it go. Peace isn’t found in the next program or podcast—it’s found in Him.

I never thought I’d be the one telling my four little girls their daddy wasn’t coming home. Losing my husband in a tragic accident was my worst fear come true — but in the middle of that storm, God gave me peace that didn’t make sense.
In this episode, I share my Christian testimony of loss and how God prepared me to walk through tragedy with hope:
How to trust God when life falls apart.
Why surrender led to peace instead of despair.
The lessons I learned as a Christian wife and mom walking through grief.
How you can find peace in your own hard season.
If you’re a Christian woman who’s overwhelmed, afraid, or searching for peace in the middle of pain — this story is for you. My prayer is that my testimony reminds you that you’re not alone, and that peace and hope are possible even in the hardest times.

Are you a Christian woman who feels stuck, foggy, or like you just can’t follow through—no matter how many times you start again?
This isn’t about laziness. And it’s definitely not just about willpower.
In this episode, we’re diving into 1 Thessalonians 5 and how “being clearheaded” isn’t just about avoiding alcohol... but about the physical, emotional, and spiritual fog that’s created by the foods we constantly run to for comfort.
The Church rarely talks about this—but it’s a battle that’s keeping thousands of faith-led women stuck in cycles of exhaustion, shame, and missed purpose.
If you’ve ever said:
“I don’t know why food has such a hold on me.”
“I keep starting over.”
“I just want to feel better, but I can’t stick with it.”
…this one is for you.
💬 Let’s talk about why your clarity matters to your calling—and what God is really asking you to do with your health.
