You don't have to be a genius to know that the noise in the health and fitness industry is deafening. Everyone has the "best" way, the "best" diet, the "best" supplements.....blah, blah, blah. The "it worked for me so it'll work for you" is ridiculous. Every one is different so how could one solution possibly work for everyone??!!

You know what? Sometimes our brains can be jerks. Yes, I said it. Sometimes they just are. They are wired to keep us in comfort and familiarity. They don't like it when we decide that we want to change. I heard a great analogy today that really hit home for me when it comes to why I struggle to make lasting change in my life. I've gotten so much better at staying committed to my goals, but still find myself struggling way too much (in my opinion ;) Anyway, this analogy really opened my eyes as to why and I wanted to share it with you so maybe it'll help shed some light for you as well!

Sometimes it's hard to see anything good when we're suffering or walking through something difficult but there is ALWAYS something to be thankful for. There is ALWAYS something we can have gratitude for. This doesn't mean that when tough times hit we are just happy and laughing our way through it but it does mean that if you believe in God's sovereignty and His goodness, you can always find something good.....even in sickness, loss, financial hardship, or grief. This is a topic near and dear to my heart. Praying that even if you are walking through a tough time right now that you can see the silver lining.
